Description The BAB field is a mature field producing oil, condensates,
free and associated gas from a number of horizons since 1964. Recovery
mechanisms include natural depletion, water injection, HC and/or non HC
gas injection. Artificial lift is being considered.
The BAB Master Plan is a long term initiative aiming at the most
efficient future development and operation of the field.
The deliverables are
An integrated surface and subsurface phased development plan, documented
down to preliminary execution plan and operation philosophy
design guide lines for future BAB activities
the identification of synergies and conflicts in shorter term plans and
the resulting recommendations
proposals to handle the transition to an integrated approach
recommendations regarding the maintenance and updating of this plan in
line with evolution of BAB, business context and technology
Job Purpose & Scope:
Deliver the Field Network package of the BAB Master Plan. The networks
to be considered include
Raw well head effluents
Water (injection and lifting)
Gas injection (HC, non HC’s, gas lift)
Power
Associated roads
Ensure consistency and progress of the studies in line with the other
packages of the BMP
Ensure with BMP team that Field Networks development plans are
consistent with the operating envelop required to accommodate Long Term
subsurface plans, including sufficient provision for uncertainties.
Highlight development scenarios for which flexibility can be built and
those which are incompatible.
Identify optimization opportunities and synergies (in particular fluid
streams blending or segregation)
Establish an overall oil & gas development plan of Field Networks
facilities integrating and completing ADCO, ADNOC, GASCO and other 3rd
parties plans, taking into account obsolescence and replacement needs.
In particular, lay-out constrains (including safety aspects) will be
assessed and recommendation for the location of future additional Field
Network facilities will be made.
Issue the Field Network part of the BMP with related Guidelines for
future developments
Main Duties/Accountabilities:
Management and technical
Define BMP scope of work for Field Network package with associated
schedule and responsibilities (ADCO or external). Prepare the related
cost estimates.
Ensure collection of reliable and up to date data in a frame work
consistent with the other packages and compile basis of design.
In coordination with other packages, define the accurate battery limits
of the package study and participate to the interface coordination.
Define the objectives and the scopes of studies to be implemented, and
in particular the level of these studies (pre-conceptual, conceptual,
etc) and their execution strategy (internal or not).
Launch and monitor the progress and delivery of the said studies.
Participate, within the limits of Field Network package, to overall
coordination with all involved parties in Oil and Gas production but
also when necessary, with third parties impacting (or potentially
impacted by) Bab field development
Health, Safety & Environment
Follow Company’s health, safety, and environment policy, procedures,
regulations and objectives as they relate to his or her area of
responsibility and ensure that they are effectively implemented in this
domain
Ensure that Safety and environmental issues are integrated in the study.
In particular, make sure that impact to and from all stakeholders on
well locations, rig and logistics access, drilling activities are
integrated in the study.
Implement the necessary safety studies to design clusters lay-outs and
identify possible location of future clusters.
Communication & Information Management
Ensures close cooperation and coordination with other Packages, ADCO
designated contacts to ascertain BMP objectives and concerns are
understood and shared
Closely follow-up progress of the activities delegated to ADCO or
subcontracted and report to BMP team leader.
Obtain specialist expertise is provided as required
Ensures contacts and exchanges with all involved stakeholders when
required

Requirements
Minimum Qualification, Knowledge, Skills and Experience/ (Key
Competencies)
Technical
10 years experience in network design of which 5 years experience in
conceptual studies and overall field configuration development.
Strong analytical expertise, integration skills
Strong experience in pipeline and power networks development and ability
to implement preliminary design/ verifications.
Solid knowledge and understanding in surface facilities of oil & gas
production, particularly related safety aspects.
Behavioural
Excellent interpersonal skills and team work ability
Ability to have a high level view of oil and gas development
Ability to propose optimisations and synergies
Strong and diplomatic communicator

Qualifications

Mechanical Engineer for PMC role covering all aspects of Rotating

Senior Equipment Engineer with Engineering Contractor / Consultant
organization. Fully familiar with international codes, standards and
recommended practices to be applied for onshore and offshore oil and gas
projects during EPC tendering phase of execution. Experience to manage
EPC Engineer and EPC deliverables for Owner is distinctly preferred.
Must have proven ability to contribute during development of the
mechanical equipment design throughout a project including, ITB
preparation and bid review, specification, bid technical evaluation,
vendor print review, handling field queries, …etc.
Prepare project engineering procedures, specifications and standards.
Previous Mechanical Engineering experience in PMC or similar roles in
Middle East, offshore and onshore Industry work is a requirement.
Job Description:
Provide technical consultancy to Client on project related Mechanical
Equipment issues. Review the basis of design, specifications, data
sheets, requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and drawings, prepared
by Contractors. Provide technical recommendations on the selection of
equipment to meet Project requirements. Review vendor proposals,
documentation and drawings. Lead or participate in project, Client and
vendor meetings. Support other engineering activities specific to the
Mechanical Equipment technical area such as; attendance at Equipment
Testing. Be prepared to travel other overseas locations for meetings,
equipment testing and site technical support to meet Project
requirements.
Requirements:
Must be able to demonstrate comprehensive experience across a range of
mechanical equipment associated with onshore and offshore installations
and operating environments; this experience shall be gained in the
oversight of full EPC contracts. Technical Knowledge: A thorough working
knowledge of all classes of rotating equipment, including Compressors,
Combustion Turbines and Pumps in an onshore and offshore environment.
Experience in working with other mechanical equipment and packages will
