SCOPE OF RUWAIS SULPHUR HANDLING TERMINAL
The Sulphur Handling Terminal–2 (SHT-2) Plant facility will be a new
green field plant located in the Ruwais industrial area approximately
165 km west southwest of Abu Dhabi City.
Granulated sulphur will be transported by rail from Habshan and Shah
areas to a new Sulphur Handling Terminal (SHT-2) located approximately
4.5 km southeast of the existing Sulphur Handling Terminal (SHT). The
SHT-2 facility is designed to receive 22,000 tonnes per day of
granulated sulphur.
PROJECT involves the rail unloading, granule storage and ship loading of
elemental granular sulphur from railcars, and the supply of utilities
from existing facilities within the Ruwais industrial area. The
facilities located at the new Sulphur Handling Terminal Facility will
include:
Rail Unloading
Solid Sulphur Granule Storage, Stacking and Reclaim Facilities
Conveying Systems
Ship Loading Systems
Utility and Offsite Units to support the Rail Unloading, Storage, and
Ship Loading Facilities
Granulated sulphur unloaded from railcars is stacked / reclaimed from
the storage buildings, and then transported by conveyors to one of the
two quadrant style ship-loaders for discharge into ships for export to
market.
We will provide PMC services for the EPC phase of the project. The work
will include engineering, procurement, construction, COMMISSIONING, TEST
RUN to achieve PROVISIONAL ACCEPTANCE followed by WARRANTY PERIOD and to
achieve FINAL ACCEPTANCE.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Instrument Engineering from a reputed
institution
Experience:
Minimum 20 years of total exp
Commissioning experience on a Material Handling Plant is a must.
1.Start-up, commissioning or operations experience in a solids handling
plant, like sulphur granules, limestone granules, metal ores, etc.
2.Experienced in Railcar unloading, continuous or stationary
3.Experienced in Ship loading and terminal
4.Experienced in Stacker Reclaimers
5.Experience with dust scrubbers
6.Experienced in PLC and SCADA systems
7.Experienced in DCS systems, preferably Honeywell

Description Project Scope
Project Management Consultancy (PMC) Services for the EPC phase of a
project where the Client intends to install a new Booster Compressor
Station. Client also intends to make modifications and minor changes to
existing plants. Front End Engineering Design (FEED) has been completed
and the EPC Works of the project will be tendered on competitive basis
and will be implemented on Lump Sum Turnkey Basis.
The project includes Project Management Consultancy (PMC) Services for
the following:
New Booster Compressor Station:
Three 40% booster compressors driven by electric motors. Each
compression train includes dedicated supporting equipment
(recycle-coolers, knock-out drums, etc.) in-line separators for the HP
and IP transfer lines,
Transfer lines (Approximately 3 km each) for HP, IP and LP and LGR( Lean
Gas Recycle) / Fuel gas pipeline line (Approximate size 12"-15 km)
with pigging facilities
A new substation and control console including integration to the future
DCS.
Utilities and offsites to support new equipment,
Demolition of existing booster compressor station and associated
facilities.
Minimum De-Bottleneck of existing plant:
The minimum de-bottleneck case covers modifications to allow the
processing of additional feed gas with minimum expenditure of capital
cost and requires the following:
A new parallel Feed Gas Compressor along with Suction Drum,
after-cooler.
A third parallel IP Gas Interstage Drum Pump.
A new parallel LP Gas Compression train.
The addition of a third Vapour Dehydrator and minor modifications to the
existing two Vapour Dehydrators.
New parallel second Vapour Dehydrator Outlet Filter, new parallel
Separator upstream of the Vapour Dehydrators, new regeneration gas
heater that would replace the existing one, parallel Coalescer, parallel
Expander Outlet Drum Pump, Retraying of the Demethanizer etc.
A new Expander Compressor that would replace the existing one.
A bypass line to divert a portion of the gas leaving Separator No. 2
around the turbo-expander and demethanizer.
Replacement of some instrumentation.
Utilities and offsites to support new and modified equipment:
32 MW substation, Overhead Transmission Line (Approximately 10 Km).
New set of air Compressors and driers
Closed drain system
Related Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil and other works
Miscellaneous other minor changes to support the higher feed gas
throughput:
Equipment modifications such as exchanger nozzles replacement, Vessel
internals replacement, Control Valves, Flow instruments, Line sizes etc.
Divert Feed Gas form one existing plant to another
The following major equipment/modifications are considered:
A new HP Gas Compressor.
A new Liquid Diversion Drum and Liquid Diversion Pump.
A new 10 km 16° pipeline to divert this compressed gas.
A new HP Separator.
Requirements Experience: Minimum 20 years
Qualifications: Engineering degree Mechanical I Chemical from a reputed
institution
